Visit to the Resting Place of Mother and Father Dunn

Representative from the Bahá’í Community of Wollongong made a special visit to the resting place of Mother and Father Dunn at the Woronora Cemetery in Sutherland today, to honour and warmly remember the 56th anniversary of the passing of Clara Dunn on 18 November 1960 in Sydney. Mariette Leong shared warm personal stories of knowing Mother Dunn when she was growing up as a young girl in Adelaide, South Australia.

Clara, together with her husband John Henry Hyde Dunn, left America as Bahá’í pioneers to Australia in response to the Tablets of the Divine Plan, arriving in Sydney on 10 April 1920. They are regarded as the spiritual conquerors of a continent, and subsequently named as Hands of the Cause of God.
